This one is a bit different! Inspired by a necklace made for a friend. All of the non-uranium beads are reclaimed beads.
This necklace is adaptive. Not only is it a magnetic closure, but it is reversible. The hands can be positioned into a V shape to wear it with the closure in the front. Worn with the magnetic closure in the front, it is a uranium focused necklace. Worn with the closure in the back, it is a cobalt and teal focal bead necklace. I designed this to be friendly for folks with dexterity issues, and also allow folks to have a "business in the front, party in the back situation" when it comes to wearing the uranium itself. The 8 uranium beads on this necklace are vintage cobalt mix, Czech uranium glass, with silver finishing. These beads are no longer in production. The circle link chain leading to the closure is stainless steel. Rhodium plated brass magnetic holding hands closure.
Necklace measures 21 inches from end to end when laid open and flat. Internal measurement of 20 inches when closed.

**Uranium glass contains minute amounts of uranium dioxide, and glows under UV black light. Uranium glass level of radioactivity varies by piece, ranging from less than 1 percent to up to 25 percent by weight, but there is no recognized danger to handling or using uranium glass, according to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Uranium glass beads are even further diluted than the glass in glassware, as it is mixed with other glass to make the beads. Under 50CPM is normal levels of background radiation. Under 100CPM is not thought to have any health effects. Outside air in the United States of America averages around 25CPM. I check all my pieces with a geiger meter to make sure they clock in at safe levels.**
